Spanish authors to be the guests of honour at Pisa Book Festival

Pisa Book Festival will take place from 9th to 11th November at the Palazzo dei Congressi with more than 160 exhibitors.

This popular national book show is dedicated to independent publishers, with a wide selection of exhibitors, and dozens of events, workshops, literary readings and meetings with authors, making it a treat for readers worldwide. The festival, hosted at Pisa's congress palace and now in its 16th edition, will include prominent writers, such as Alberto Prunetti, Pietro Grossi, Sacha Naspini, Simone Lenzi and Marco Gallo.

Authors from Spain will be the guests of honour for the 2018 edition, with emerging authors such as Mariana Torres and Roberto Osa invited. José Ovejero, a respected travel writer described as "one of the best writers of his generation", will attend, as well as Rosa Montero, the famous children’s author.

There will also be tributes to García Lorca, Leonard Cohen and Muriel Spark, as well as exhibitions dedicated to children’s books with illustrations by Ester García.

The festival will also be promoted on social media thanks to a new collaboration with IgersPisa, one of the most-followed Instagram accounts. To follow the festival, use the hashtags #PISADEILIBRI, #IGERSPISA or #PISABOOKFESTIVAL.
